Frequently Asked Questions:

Is Picnic Hill suitable for children?

Yes. Picnic Hill is a family-friendly environment and all ages are welcome. Bring the kids, bring the grandparents.  It’s all about gathering together.

Is Picnic Hill accessible?

Accessible features include:

• Car parking available at the front of the building

• Tables and chairs available near the bar and stage areas for those unable to  access a site on the Hill

What happens if it rains?

Picnic Hill is an outdoor event and we keep a close eye on the weather. If we need to postpone due to wet weather, all ticket holders will be notified the day before the event with further details.

Can I bring my dog?

As much as we love dogs, Picnic Hill events can get quite busy and the music can be loud, which isn’t always the most comfortable environment for them. For this reason we ask that pets stay at home. Service dogs are, of course, always welcome.

Can I bring my own food and drinks?

To help support the work of Redcliffe Youth Space, food and drinks are available to purchase from the Picnic Hill Pantry and Bar on the night, so we ask that guests don’t bring their own.

You’ll find a delicious range of food along with wine, cider and cocktails and beer available at the bar.

Can I take photos or film during the event?

Absolutely and we’d love to see your photos! Feel free to share your moments from the Hill and tag us on social media.

What should I bring?

Bring a picnic blanket or camp chair, your ticket, and your people. We’ll take care of the food, drinks and music.

What time should I arrive?

Gates open at 5:30pm with Kylie on stage at 7:00pm. We recommend arriving early to find your spot on the Hill, grab some food and drinks and enjoy the atmosphere before the sing-a-long begins.

Is there parking available?

Yes, parking is available nearby. We encourage guests to arrive early where possible.  Parking areas will be posted on our social media closer to the event date.

Can I bring a large picnic setup or marquee?

To make sure everyone has space and good visibility on the Hill, we ask that guests keep their setup simple with picnic blankets and camp chairs.

Do I need to print my ticket?

No need unless it suits you to do so.  Digital tickets on your phone are perfectly fine.

Why has Picnic Hill changed its format?

Picnic Hill is growing into a series of  events across the year, each with its own unique atmosphere and experience. This keeps things fresh and gives our community more opportunities to gather, share and connect.

All Picnic Hill events remain family friendly and welcoming to everyone.

Why is Picnic Hill a ticketed event now?

Picnic Hill is run by Redcliffe Youth Space, with all proceeds supporting the work we do with young people in the Moreton Bay community. Moving to ticketed events allows us to continue creating these community gatherings in a sustainable way, while also raising much-needed funds to support young people.  Every Picnic Hill will have a different ticket price and every ticket sold helps make a positive difference.
